QUINOA or RICE RAWA ( Lemon Rice Hyderabadi Andhra style) Rice rawa Pulihara Prep-Time:8-10 min Serves:4
1)Heat a pan with oil(1 teaspoon) on medium flame , add
mustard, Toor Dal, Urad Dal, Peanuts, Dry red chillies(2 medium sized), when they begin to crackle, add curry leaves(optional) and
mix till they turn crisp.
2) Add onions
or shallots, fry (if you want them to be crispy or simply leave them for 8
sec and proceed to the next step) till the onions turn transparent.
3) Add green chillies, fry them for 15-20 sec.
4) Add salt, turmeric powder and mix them.
5) Add 4 cups of water and cover it when water begins to
boil, add 2 cups of rice rava or quinoa (or just grind any rice coarsely) mix
them once and cover it.
6) Leave it on low flame for 6-9 min (do
not mix them in between otherwise it won't be fluffy).
7) Once done
mix everything once and switch off gas & leave it uncovered for 1 min.
